Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure Match Released based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.
Released worldwide on September 7, 2018, it is the first licensed game. The game tells a story about Spider-Man that isn't tied to film, video game, or an present book, and covers both the Peter Parker and aspects of the personality.
Spider-Man was well received upon launch. Critics called it one of the best superhero games praising particularly the battle, its gameplay and web-swinging mechanics, graphics, storyline, characterization, and design of new york, though felt it lacked invention in its design that was open-world. The match became a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first three days of launch, and broke several sales documents.
Spider-Man features a huge ensemble cast of characters in Spider-Man comics' history. Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) is a 23-year old research assistant, who gains superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider. Parker uses these skills to protect the citizens of New York City since the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years into his superhero career, Parker is now an skilled and masterful crime fighter, but struggles to balance personal lives and his superhero. He's assisted in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). In his civilian life, Parker is supported by his Aunt May (Nancy Linari) who volunteers in the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelter run by philanthropist Martin Li Cheap EXP farming (Stephen Oyoung). Parker is employed by his mentor and friend, the honored scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's adventure brings him into contact with different personalities, including Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) and his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), and Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), leader of the private military company Sable International.
The mission of spider-Man brings him into conflict with supervillains. The narrative opens with Spider-Man taking down his longtime foe Wilson Fisk (Travis Willingham), the Kingpin of crime in New York. Fisk is sent to prison, but warns that he was the sole person maintaining order in town. Fisk's absence gives rise to some supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang known as the Demons who start dividing town for the powerful Mr. Negative, who will corrupt individuals through his touch. Spider-Man must also face Electro (Josh Keaton), Rhino (Fred Tatasciore), Scorpion (Jason Spisak), Vulture (Dwight Schultz), Shocker (Dave B. Mitchell), Taskmaster (Brian Bloom), Screwball (Stephanie Lemelin), and Tombstone (Corey Jones).
A lot of different characters--including Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who's disappeared on a long European vacation, and anti-Spider-Man podcast bunch J. Jonah Jameson (Darin de Paul) have voice characters in the major game. The game includes several references to the Marvel Comics universe.  Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee cameos as a short-order cook. The game's downloadable material features appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (that has a voice-only role in the main game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), chief of the Maggia crime family.
